How Can Nasal Blister Patches Due To Herpes Be Treated?

For the past 3 years I have noticed a small patch of blister looking bubbles evolving right under the tip of my nose and never knew what they were, until i got them checked out just yesterday and was told they were herpes. Instead of getting them in the same spot I usually do, it has not traveled down to right above my lip but not on it, thank god. I just don't understand how I could have gotten herpes in that area.. I'm only 16 and am embarrassed to go to school because I don't know what to say to people who ask, its rather hard to cover up and I don't know why this had to happen to me.

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
Herpes labialis is caused by Herpes simplex virus. It spreads through kissing/ direct contact skin to skin with a person having active herpes. The thing about herpes virus is that once contracted it will remain dormant in the cutaneous nerves and never leave your body completely. You might have contracted it when you were a baby itself because adults have a bad habit of kissing cute small babies .
During periods of stress like fever, exams, trauma it may become active.
When you notice first signs of a break out start a course of Acyclovir 400 mg thrice daily for 5 days and your episode will be very mild. Get this prescribed by your dermatologist.
Hope this helped,
Take care.
