How Can An Overactive Thyroid Be Treated Differently?

i work full time but have had quite a lot of time off sick since being diagnosed with an overactive thyroid which for the past three months has been underactive i am on carbimazole 10mg is there any help out there as i am frequently having meetings about my sickness percentage

Thank you for asking on HCM!
I can understand your concern. There are some treatment options of overactive thyroid.
First the hormonal level should be well controlled with carbimazol. The dose you are taking now is too large if you are underactive. You should lower the dose regarding to the hormonal results.
The permanent options of treatment are two: Surgical remove or Radioiodine treatment.
