As rightly advised by Dr. George, you need insulin in addition to drugs.

General & Family Physician Dr. Gegin George's  Response
Hi, welcome to HealthcareMagic.

Reduce the intake of refined sugars, and consume more complex carbohydrate and starches. Oral hypoglycemic medications have to be taken regularly. Maintain body weight and exercise regularly. Keep a constant check on your blood sugar levels. Consult your physician if your blood sugar levels are still uncontrolled. You might have to be prescribed insulin then.
