History Of Having Gastric Bypass Surgery, AST 47, ALT 55. Not On Transfats, Sugar, Meat. Habit Of Having Cocktails. Real High Levels?
I have cocktails 3 days a week maybe 4 or 5 a night sometimes more. I am a 49 year old female that is 6 years out of gastric bypass surgery. I had full panels done and the only things high were my AST was 47 and my ALT was 55. I gave up trans fats and sugers 3 years ago, we just started eating boca burgers instead of meat several weeks ago..I drink 70 ounces of water a day and really after the test added 24 ounces of v-8 juice...I wonder if these levels are really high and how long it will take for them to come down..I also added B complex sublingaul twice a day. Thanks
Hi, dear Transaminases like ALT and AST show about liver damage.
In most cases liver damage regards with viral hepatitis or alcohol use. So I would recommend you to stop alcohol.
It is good that you are useing Vitamine B complex.
Fortunately, your AST and ALT level are slight elevated. It will take several weeks for them to normalized values. If it still continue please consult gastroenterologist.
All the best Dr.klerida
