Heart Skipping Beats, Heaviness In Lungs After Taking A Deep Breath, Strange Smell. Causes For Symptoms?

Ever so often my heart feels like it skips a beat. I then feel like i have to take a deep breath and feels heavy in my lungs. Often happens when i first lay down to sleep and closed to falling asleep. I notice there is a strange smell that i cant describe. I know it sounds crazy. Any help is appreciated. I wouldnt say its painful just an odd feeling.

You are very good at your descriptions about the conditions but you did not mention your age and other medical
conditions. From the descriptions it is not possible to come to a diagnosis. You donot have chest pain but you are feeling some missing heart beat and some funny feeling only before going to sleep, not while exercising, not while doing physical work, not while being busy etc,. That means you are having the problem only when you think or are aware about it. This is purely psychological and happens with everyone after 30. Just ignore and exercise and be happy. May be you need counseling. Good luck.
