Heart Causes A Flutter Feeling In Chest, Immediately Followed By A Skipped Beat. Should I Be Concerned?

My heart sometimes causes a flutter feeling in my chest and is immediately followed by a skipped beat. These episodes might go on for half a day then might repeat the next day or might not occur again for weeks or months. After hours of repeated skipped beats my hips get uncomfortable...like perhaps bone rubbing on bone...and my knees feel defective and my legs take on a heavy, very tired feeling. The skips are spaced between various periods of good beats...perhaps one good between or 3 or 8 or 12 or 75 or whatever. The leg symptoms usually follow those times when the skips are numerous and close together. I am wearing a 30 day cardio monitor. When it accumulates 6 events (usually captured by my manual intervention...activating the device) I download all to a host site. I have been reporting for a week and the primary care physician and their associated cardiologist are really ho-hum about it. No one has directed me to report for an office visit. All action/communication between me and cardio people and primary care physician and cardiologist have all been initiated by me. There is something going on here in my chest...no one seems concerned. Should I just relax and learn to live with the skips? Should I be concerned about my physicians lack of interest?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Dear Sir/ Madam
Thanks for your query to HCmagic.
Your description tell us that
1. You have rhythm disorder which is symptomatic but there is no alarming symptoms like a blackout/ loss of consciousness/ angina/ shortness of breath / vertigo.
2. You are wearing a loop recorder but results of which are not known to us.
Have you undergone ECHO too? More information in your case can only be provided if we have ECHO and loop recorder's results.
Wait for your results and discuss in detail with your cardiologist. You can always ask them for a early hearing if you are too uncomfortable.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder Singh
