Head Injury, Flinching When Injured Part Is Touched. Should I Be Concerned?

My son knocked over a table with a brass lamp on it yesterday and it hit him in the head. He cried briefly. I'm not sure where it hit him as it happened so fast. All i know is it was on the right side of his head. No redness or brushing or bumps yesterday. He's asleep now and every time I run my hands over a certain part of his head; lower back right from behind ear down; he flinches in sleep. He said his tummy felt like throwing up yesterday but he didn't. Seemed coherent and eyes OK. Should I be concerned and take him to his doctor? Or what signs do I look for?
