Having BP Of 117/72, Pulse 72. Having Fatigue, Diabetes. Matter Of Concern?

blood pressure is 117 / 72 with a pulse of 72, Yesterday it was 125 / 69 with a pulse of 76. I am a male 59 years old, who is type 2 diabetic and has fatty liver problems. My weight is 15 stone 5 pounds. Don t seem to have much energy, and feel tired, could be the winter blues. Play golf in the summer twice a week, maybe once a month in wintertime. Should I be concerned , think I might be suffering from depression .

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Your blood pressure according to your age and type II diabetes status should be around 135/85 mm Hg.
Considering the mentioned values of your blood pressure, it should be labeled as normal.
Normal diurnal variation is also present in each & every human being whether diseased or normal.
Do you have any other symptoms apart from weakness and tired?
Lack of energy, tiredness may be due to hypoglycemia/ arrhythmias/ depression.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist and should go for blood sugar and ECG check up.
If these investigations are normal, then you should consult with psychiatrist and take proper treatment.
Take care,

Hi Jhonson,
Thanks for writing your query.

Your blood pressure recordings are within normal range and so it is not the cause of weakness felt by you.

You have not mentioned your recent sugar levels. Weakness can be due to low blood sugar. So, please get your blood sugar levels checked.

Winters can result in decreased activity and more evidence of depression. Try to get engaged in some creative activity and get more exposure of sunlight.

Take care about your diet. Follow the diet adviced by your doctor. You can play golf according to your stamina. Physical activity will be helpful in control of diiabetes.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.

Hello
Your blood pressure is normal and should not be worried.
As far as your lethargy and tiredness is concerned, there may be many reasons for it.
The may be due to hypothyroidism or due to lack of VIT B12 or VIT D .
I would advise you to get yourself tested for these.
This lethargy may be due to the use of statins which a diabetic person generally uses.
Uncontrolled diabetes may also result in lethargy.
I would advise you to consult your doctor and get properly tested.
Thanks
