Have Protein And Sugar In The Urine Along With Frequent Urination

My blood sugar was 296 when I went to the doctor with a finger stick on Tuesday. They also did a dip stick. I was told by the nurse that I had protein and sugar in my urine. They did more blood work still waiting on results. I am urinating at list 15 to 17 times a day. What should I do until here from my doctor. was given no instructions.

Hello,
You are suffering from uncontrolled diabetes resulting in sugar in your urine and increased urination.
Presence of protein in urine could be due to urinary tract infection or could be due to diabetic nephropathy. You have to be properly investigated to look for the cause of proteins in urine.
If proteins are present in urine because of diabetic nephropathy, then you will have to be very careful in future and make sure to control your blood sugar levels, blood pressure levels and blood lipids in tight control.
Observe proper dietary control measures and do regular exercises and take regular medications.
Thanks
