Have Pea Size Nodule Under Skin Between Eyes. Diagnosed Dermatofibroma. What To Do?
I just left my plastic surgeon's office. I asked him to check an approx. small pea size nodule under the skin right between my eyes. There is no pigment, no pain, and it's not noticeable unless you feel for it. He diagnosed it as a dermatofibroma and said that when I finish nursing my daughter he would remove it. I am 32 yo. Does this sound like something I should be concerned about? Can you have an unpigmented dermatofibroma? Lately I have a tendency to worry about everything.

Have Pea Size Nodule Under Skin Between Eyes. Diagnosed Dermatofibroma. What To Do?
Hi, thanks for your query. Your doctor has diagnosed a small hard nodule on your fore head to be a dermatofibroma. It seems to be unlikely to be a dermatofibroma because it is mostly present on forearm and legs. It seems to be a benign growth, it may be a sebaceous cyst, dermoid cyst, neurofibroma or ganglion. But it not somethig you should be so much concerned and hurry to get it removed. I suggest you to take a second opinion from a dermatologist to relieve your anxiety. There is an option of skin biopsy to confirm the condition at any point of time. Hope this solves your concern.
