Have Painful Bumps In Outer Vagina. Uncomfortable To Sit Or Stand. Had UTI. What Is It?

I started with one semi-painful white bump on the right side outer vagina. I thought it was a pimple so I left it alone. Now (about a week later) I have several of these painful bumps in the same area, plus more painful bumps around my anus. Urinating irritates the bumps (I'm guessing from the acidity) and it is uncomfortable to go from sitting to standing or vice versa.
Around the time the first bump showed up, I got a uti. I have been treated for the uti, but the bumps seem to keep getting worse. Any idea what it could be or how to treat it?

Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HealthcareMagic.

I can understand your concern for the bumps over genital region.

Now after reading your query I can make out the possibility of "Folliculitis".

It is an inflammation or infection of the hair root with oil gland at the genital area. As we know that our genital area have lot of coarse hair and this area is always been closed, so there is always a chance of infection of hair root at this area.
It can further be aggravated by heat and humidity with sweating over this area. It is generally painful to begin with or have a feeling of discomfort. It generally begins as reddish dot and then can enlarge later on to form a cyst kind of lesion if remained for longer time.
Kindly follow the instructions below:
- The most important thing you should do is to not touch, pinch, pop or squeeze the area by any means.
-Stay away from hot and humid climate.
-Take two times bath and maintain good hygiene.
-Wear cotton clothes and cotton undergarments and especially change the undergarments two times a day
- You can do cold or warm water compresses over the affected area.

If the problem is getting aggravated or you feel more pain in the same then you can met a dermatologist who can guide you best for the situation.
I hope these information's will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health"
