Have Migraine. Hands, Feet Are Hurting. On Aleve. No Relief. Causes For The Weakness?

I have migraines almost every day, as well as hands, feets, knees, hips, etc, huring. My hands and feet burn and hurt to move. At times some relief with taking Aleve but not much --- pain never goes away. I am very tired but at night sometimes hardly bearable. What is the matter with me? I used to be so active--kickboxing, walking 5 miles a day... I am trying to lose the 10 to 12 pounds I put on in the last couple of years and just can't seem to lose.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
based on the details you have migraine headache frequency every alternate day. Aleve (naproxen) is used to treat acute headache but You should be on prophylactic drugs( flunnarzine/ betablocker and other drugs) to reduce the frequency of headache attcks.

Burning feet and hand with pains at knee, hip, indicates small fiber neuropathy with arthralgia which has to be confirmed by clinical examination.

Increased tiredness, weight gain with burning feet and hand ,need to rule out hypothyroidism

You should consult physician/neurologist for clinical examination and evalaution ( thyroid profile) and further plan of management .

Regards
