Have Irregular Bleeding, Lower Back Pain And Lethargy. Advised Ultrasound. Should I Be Worried?
My doctor has made an urgent referral for an ultrasound scan following a internal examination when I visited with concerns this week. I have been having irregular bleeding. and lots of streaky spotting inbetween bigger PV bleeds. I'm 46. 2 children. Regular periods until about 6 months ago. other symptoms- Lower back pain. Lethargy. What would he be suspecting. Why the urgent referral to have ultrasound? Julie
At the age of 42 it could be menopause that knocking at your door that at times is troublesome. you can have irregular menstrual cycle before menopause sets in permanently. The streaky discharge in between is troubling. It can also be due to numerous other reasons like endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial / cefvical malignancy or associated cervicitis. Early diagnosis is important so get it done asap.
