Have Hard And Sore Vein In Armpit. Lower Arm Feels Achy. What Is It?

I recently noticed a hard and sore vein in the armpit. It has been tender and sore for a number of days. It feels like a cord that is tender to the touch. Sometimes my lower arm near the inner part of the elbow feels achy too. It is sore to raise my arm also and I feel strange sensations right down to my fingers. Any idea what this could be?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The hard and sore vein that you have noticed could be due to a local inflammation of the vein or a muscle spasm in the area. An infection also needs to be ruled out after a direct examination for treatment.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
