Hello,

You are suffering from a dull pain in your right calf since 3 weeks. You are experiencing a type of throbbing pain that goes all day and night at the same spot. Pain in the calf can be muscular pain from acute or chronic physical strain. it can be relieved with rest, gentle massage with pain relieving ointment or by taking analgesics or muscle relaxants.

Pain that is not muscle related could be due to nerve damage, arterial disease, severe trauma, etc. That need to be clinically examined by a GP for further treatment. Sometimes, calf muscle cramps can be intensely tight and painful, and there may even be a visible knot or a twitching sensation. Calf cramps could be due to muscle fatigue that occurs after high intensity exercise. Stay at rest, avoid strenuous & exhaustive exercises.

Since you already have a history of varicose veins, blood clots can form in the deep veins of the leg, a condition known as deep vein thrombosis. Get clinically examined by a GP, get imaging tests, X-ray, ultrasound, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), blood tests, etc., done to detect the pathology causing you symptoms so that you can be treated at the earliest.

In the meantime quit smoking, quit alcohol or addictions if any, control your blood sugar level, take foods that are low in saturated fat. Manage blood pressure and cholesterol level.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
