Have Bruises Near To Armpit, Thighs And Stomach. Reason?

I just noticed several bruises on the underside of my upper arm close to the armpit. These unexplained bruises seem to be appearing more and more often, usually on the upper arm, but also on my thighs, less frequently on my bottom or stomach . I do not bruise easily under ordinary circumstances. What could be the cause of this?

HI ...thanks for the query
You have not mentioned your age and sex. There are certain general information i would like to share.
-Some people, especially women are more prone to bruising than are others.
-Easy bruising is common with age. Over time the tissues supporting these vessels weaken and capillary walls become more fragile and prone to rupture. Excessive exposure to the sun accelerates this process.
-Blood-thinning drugs such as aspirin, warfarin or medications such as clopidogrel reduce the blood's ability to clot. As a result, bleeding from capillary damage might take longer than usual to stop ,which allows enough blood to leak out and cause a bruise.
Topical and systemic corticosteroids cause skin thinning and making it easier to bruise
-Certain dietary supplements, such as fish oil and ginkgo also can increase your bruising risk due to a blood-thinning effect.
-Bruises can occur in some people who exercise rigorously such as athletes and weight lifters. These bruises result from microscopic tears in blood vessels under the skin.
If any of the above is not true for you, i advise you to visit a dermatologist and get an opinion on the same.Although most bruises are harmless and go away without treatment, easy bruising can sometimes be a sign of a more serious problem.
Hope this helps.Take care!
