Has Sarcoidosies. On Meththertrexate. Is Tired, Overweight, Sarcoid. Treatment?

My daughter has sarcoidosies ,her doctor has her on meththertrexate ,she has it in the skin only,she has had it for 3years now, she is so tired all the time,she is not overweight and other than her sarcoid,there is nothing else wrong with her. Do you think her lack of energy ,is from the sickness or the treatment.. Her age is 49.THANK YOU ,

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Sarcoidosis is a chronic multisystem disorder of unknown causes .
The most common organ involved is lungs, while skin is also involved .
In skin most common lesions are erythema nodosum.
As your daughter is taking Methotrexate from three years.
Main complaint is tiredness, fatigue and side effects of methotreaxate are as , megaloblatic anemia, osteoporosis, arthralgias , necrosis of soft tissues.
All the symptoms mentioned by you are an indication of side effects of methotrexate .
Get in blood for C B C on regular basis with calcium check up.
Consult your treating physician and get his opinion as sarcoidosis is resolve itself in few cases.
