Has Blurred Spot At Center Of Vision. Had Looked Sun Directly For Half Hour. Cure?

My younger brother ( age 20 ) tried to look directly sun for half an hour. Now he is facing the problem of blurred spot at he center of his vision from two days ragularly. As after shown to doctor he recommend it as an serious matter . We are worried , can it be cure? if yes than how much time it will take . Plz help

Looking directly at the sun in something that should never be done. Vision damage is serious and he will see a blurred spot for a long time, probably a few months to a year in some cases. This depends on how much the retina is damaged and that can only be seen after a test called Fluoroscein angiography. However, the good thing is visual damage is reversible.
