Had Tonsils And Adenoids Removed, Hurts To Swallow, Foul Taste. When Will Stitches Dissolve?
Hi....I was wondering.....I am a 61 yr old women in generally good health and had to have my tonsils and adenoids out 10 days ago....the stitches and scabs are still there...yes it hurts to swallow but I am dealing with that. I also have a foul taste that I cannot get I d of....when will the stitches dissolve and scabs fall of...by the way, they diagnosed me with difficult intubation .....ugh!
Hello, thank you for communicating with us for your problem. the cause for surgery is not writen. Donot worry it takes around 7-10 days to get the sutures dissolved . they are not removed manually. you must continue analgesics, antibiotic and do regular gargling after the food intake. continue cold diet and avoid hot and hard food for some time. But still I would suggest you to consult the Specialist as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed.
