Had Scanning. Follicular Size 9th Day 9*9, 13th Day 14*14. Explain The Report?

Respected Doctor, I went to hospital on my 9th day & 13th Day, they did scanning & checked my Follicular Size. It reports it was written as follows: Day ENDO Follicular Size LO RO 9th Day 6.2(III) 9*9 NODR 13th Day 6.6 14*14 (N) NODF 13*13 It was written as above. Plz explain me about my report clearly what it mean. And tomorrow is my 14th Day. They said to come for scan tomorrow also. Regards Mani

Thanks for your query,
Follicular study is done to see the growth of follicle. Usually one follicle grows and become mature in either ovary. Follicles have to attain size of 18- 20 mm, only then they are called mature. Ovulation occurs only after maturation. Usually follicles become mature on 13-14 days in women with regular cycle. However it may be late than 14 days in women having long cycle. That's why , they have called you to see whether the size of follicle is increasing or not..
