Is It Safe To Take Letoval And Metformin For A Long Period?
Dear Doctor, I am 30 yrs old. I had a m/c 10 weeks early this year. Now we have been TTC for last three months. Sonography indicates that i have small cysts in one ovary only but it can not be classified as polycystic ovary yet. FSH/LS test during follicular phase was FSH ~6 and LH ~5.8 and prolactin ~ 21. The doctor precribed me cabgolin and prolactin came down to 4.5. Doctor has also precribed me letoval for every cycle D3 to D7 and Metformin 500 twice a day. Can you pls advise if these drugs Letoval and Metformin are safe to take for long periods of time. I read that Letoval is an anticancer medicine and should not be used to induce ovulation. Pls advise.

Every drug has side effects. Whether to take or not, depend upon risk - benefit ratio. If benefits are more than risk than should be continued.
