Had Period Twice This Month. Flow Heavy With Cramps. Was On Birth Control Pill. Concerned?

So i have had my period twice this month. The first time i started on June 3rd and got off on June 9th. (that s pretty regular every month) im on birth control . i got married on June 16th and went on our honeymoon from the 16th to the 24th in the cayman islands (very high elevation for us) on the last three days of our honeymoon i started having really bad cramps but no bleeding . On Tuesday (after we got back) the 26th i started my period again, and am still on it, its very heavy and i am having really bad cramps. I am not sure if this is something to be concerned about or if i should go get it looked at! Please Help! thank you!

Thanks for query,
you are on birth control.have you missed your pills?if yes that is the reason of bleeding.If no some times this type of bleeding occurs in patients on birth control pills.
nothing to worry treat it as normal phenomenon during birth control pills.
if this happens frequently you may switch over to another birth control measure like Intra uternine contraceptive device.Have a nice day.
