Had Partial Hysterectomy, Removed Uterus And Fallopian Tubes, Irritated And Depressed. Are My Hormones Adjusting?

I had a partial hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. They only removed my uterus and Fallopian tubes. But yesterday I started feeling very irritable depressed sad crying off and on for the last 2 days. It's just awful! I have never really had PMS and I'm pretty much happy most of the time. I'm just lying here in bed crying. Do you think my hormones are adjusting. Is this normal? And will it end?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

Removal of uterus and Fallopian tubes might cause some hormonal adjustment and therefore you may experience some minor irritation and mood swings. Depression is also a possibility. But all these can happen just for some weeks. Nothing to worry.

But knowing about these symptoms without its full knowledge, can cause severe mental troubles in an elevated manner. Therefore don't be anxious. Just do what you were doing. Enjoy.

Hope the answer helps.
