Had My Tysabri Infusion. Got A Sore Throat. Diagnosed With With Strep Throat. On Penicillin. Hurts To Swallow. Treatment?

I have MS. I just had my tysabri infusion on thursday. On friday night august 9 i started to get a sore throat. I went to the doctor on monday august 12 I was diagnosed with strep throat. I was prescribed 250 mg penicillin 3x daily for 10 days. finished the whole script on wednesday august 21. red sore throat with white splotches started again last night. went to the er today strep test came back negative. mono blood work came back negative. still hurts to swallow. what am i missing

Hi, it appears to be the follicular tonsillitis. You may need to have culture and sensitivity of the throat swab, for confirmation and assist the treatment. So i advise you to consult an E.N.T.surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
