Had Hysterectomy. Lost Sensitivity In Clitoris, Cannot Achieve Orgasm. Solution?

Hi, In April, I had a hysterectomy , and my uterus and cervix were removed. Since then, I ve lost sensitivity in my clitoris, cannot achieve orgasm , and much less sensitive in my vagina. My doctor prescribed Estrace 0.01% two months ago, but it hasn t made a difference. As for the frustration felt by both my husband and me, he told me to fake the orgasm. Do you suggest any other solutions to my issue?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
What is your age?
Are you postmenopausal or still menstruating?
Menopause is associated with fall in estrogens.
Low estrogen levels, lead to atropy of the vulval lining and vaginal lining.
This can cause decreased sensation to sexual stimuli.
Topical application of estrogen cream can help to restore the normal epithelium of the genital tract and hence improve the sensitivity of the clitoris and vagina.
Estrace is an estrogen preparation.
Continue its use for longer period.
A nerve damage during surgical procedure can cause the symptoms, however, uncommon.

Thanks and take care
