Had Dysplasia And Had Freezing Caused By HPV. Can I Go For Hysterectomy?
I had dysplasia 12 years ago and had cryo? (freezing). Unfortunately, I was young when I had it and am only realizing recently that it was caused by HPV. My question is I am 37 years old and am wondering if I need to have a hysterectomy? I'm at a point in my life where I do not want any more children and want to do everything I can to be around for the ones I do have. Can you tell me what the recommendation is from a medical standpoint?

it seems to me that you had mild to moderate dysplasia 12 years back .Dysplasia is just a premalignant condition not a malignancy.
As such it was already treated by cryo.cryo is an ablation therapy to freeze all abnormal areas and hence is an effective treatment and cures in 95 per cent cases.
You dont need to go for a hysterectomy just get a pap smear done and wait for the results.DONT WORRY,TAKE CARE!
