Had Breastfeeding For A Month, Getting Yellow White Discharge From Breast. Cause And Treatment?
Hi, im 26yrs old have a 7.5yr boy. I only breast fed him for 1mth. Now years later I been having yellow sometimes white discharge from my breast. It also has a bitter sour taste. So I would like to know probable causes and treatment . Thank you, Flor

This is known as galactorrhea and could be due to a number of causes. Did you notice any breast pain, headache and visual problem recently? if yes check your serum prolactin levels, and consult a gynaecologist. It may be because of a number of drugs or local breast pathology. So, better consult and get examined by a Dr at the earlist. It has nothing to do with your past breast feeding. Good luck.
