Had A Vaginal Hysterectomy, Feels Like Mucus Running In Back Of Throat, Makes Cough. Reason?

hi my name is april and I hade a vaginal hysterectomy 8days ago, since I have had surgery I felt like I have had mucus running in the back of my throat and sticking which has been aggravating and I find myself gulping all the time, it did come to a stage where it made me cough and dry heave that made my stomach muscles pull, and now I feel like something is hanging inside, I hoping I am imaging this and its the swelling. I am urinating fine but when I wipe there is very pale pink colour on the toilet paper. bowels are also ok so I guess my question is how would I know if I have done any damage and should I go see my gp

Hi,

Anesthesia is given during hysteroscopy. A tube will be inserted into throat which will make you feel irritating. You can take some throat soothing logenges. or you can wait for a week by the time you will be fine. If it is too discomfort please see GP for medicines
