Had A Rare Cancerous Uterine Tumor, Total Hysterectomy, No Chemo. Pain While Intercourse. What Can Be Used As Lubricant?
Two years ago I had a rare cancerous uterine tumor and had a total hysterectomy . I had no chemo or radiation . I now have some pain when I have intercourse with my husband. I believe it is from having no natural lubrication but we have tried many lubricants and none of them really help as much as I d like. Is there any way to get more juiciness, suppositories or something that is natural and not chemicals?
Vaginal dryness and atrophy can occur due to a depletion of estrogen which is released from the ovaries.Estrogen is heavily involved in maintaining a lubricated state of the vaginal area. If the ovaries were removed, then the lack of estrogen may be the issue.
You may want to consider using topical estrogen creams. These may help to restore moisture. You can speak to your doctor to find out if this is an option.
I hope this helps
