Had U/S Follicle Size 31mm. Took Clomid. What Size A Biggest Follicle Can Be?

Hi Doctor, Thanks for your attention. what is the biggest size a follicle can be? I was on ultrasound today and my biggest is 30.4mm on right ovary on cd13. Took clomid 2-6. I had another there are numerous follicle however three days ago, there was one of 17.5mm on the left side but it seems to be gone. They could only see another of 15mm on ;left. please advise

Thanks for your query,
Size of follicle gradually increases during 1st half of menstrual cycle. One follicle reaches around 18 to 20 mm ( dominant follicle ), when it becomes mature. After maturation the follicle ruptures and ovulation occurs. Some times follicle does not rupure and increases in size and becomes follicular cyst. Follicular cyst usually regresses itself with in 3 to 6 months.
