Gynecomastia, No Improvement With Workout. Will Blue Cross Blue Shield Cover Surgery Costs?

Q.
19 and still have Gynecomastia?
First off i just recently found out about Gyno and i thought it was just fat because i grew up chubby, but i started working out and dieting months back, and they stay the same. I have puffy nipples that stick out with tight shirts and its VERY embarrasing when i am trying to swim.

My question is, is it to late for it to go away, and if i want surgery, does Blue Cross Blue Shield cover it?

Dear Sir,

Sorry to hear about your problem. If the gynecomastia is still persisting after weight loss, it is very unlikely to go away by itself and you would require some kind of surgical procedure for it. It can either be treated by open surgery (in which a small incision is made around the nipple) or by liposuction, which gives a better cosmetic result.
I am not aware whether blue cross/ blue shield covers this surgery but you can inquire this from your gp.

hoping for the best.
