Feeling Sleepy And Drowsy After Taking Tretiva And Nadoxin For Acne. Can Medicine Be Continued After Fasting Is Over?

i had sudden acne problem so i consulted a skin doctor.He prescribed ISOTRETINOIN CAPSULES USP 20 mg (TRETIVA-20) for 20 days and NADOXIN-A gel. i started to take the tablets for 9 days. i experienced side effects like over sleepy and drowsy. since it is fasting month for us, i am not able to manage fasting and the tablet side effect. so i stopped taking the tablet.
Acne was better when i was taking the tablet. Now i feel acne becoming severe like before .
shall i continue taking the tablet after 4 days,by that time fasting month gets over.
stopping and continuing the medication latter is right or wrong?
what can i do further?
i am using the nadoxin gel regularly.

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

Often it is not advised to start medication and discontinue later but in your situation (because of your religious view) I think it is better you hold the medication until after fasting. It will be unwise to tell you to continue the medication despite you fasting ( you might experience worst side effects).
Since you have a topical cream, you can continue applying. There are other topical drugs of choice such as benzyl peroxide cream which you can apply and get rid of your acne. Also seek your doctor's consent.
