Experiencing Pain Under Incision Area After Double Mastectomy. Can It Be Fluid?
I had a double mastectomy 2 weeks ago, drains out 6 days later, and now experiencing pain in the area under the incision area. I think it is fluid. Is that possible? I also find the skin very sensitive to touch like nerve endings on the surface of the skin.
Hi, thank you writing to healthcare Magic Following an operation, it could have been possible that blood collected inside the tissue (hematoma) and now it has led to an abscess. The area needs to be well examined and may be with the help of syringe aspiration or ultrasound to rule out the possibility of an abscess formation.
I hope I have answered your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you. I wish you good health
