Experiencing Lower Back Pain & Increased Muscle Weakness In Legs

My 86 year old grandfather has for the last 3-4 weeks low back pain that caused pain when walking, increased muscle weakness in legs and arms, painful knees and today confusion, he thought it was afternoon when it was only 9:30 am and said that he already had breakfast which he did not.
Dr has ran some blood work, x-ray on L-spine and Cat scan. Nothing showed out of the ordinary.

Hi,
The muscle weakness appears to be more psychological, as he must have reduced his mobility due to back pain and knee pain.
Back pain might be due to sprain or abnormal posture. If it is severe, he might require rest with NSAIDS painkillers. After this back exercises and physiotherapy is essential.
Knee pain requires knee support, muscle strengthening around knee joint and physiotherapy.
His dissociation from time may be a one off episode and does not signify dementia
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
