Enlarged Thyroid Gland. Thyroid Test Reports Normal. Have Cough. Related To Thyroid Enlargement?

Hello, I have had several thyroid test done, my function test came back normal. But, I have an enlarged thyroid. Since November, I have a cough . I have been told by one Dr. that the enlarge thyroid is causing the cough, and then another is trying to send me to a Respiratory Dr. ? During this time, I can tell, the growth is getting larger and the cough is getting worse.What should be my next step ?

Get ultrasound of thyroid done to see the extent of growth,some times if the growth is very big it can have some pressure effects leading to discomfort, although cough as such is not very likely but can happen.
Get investigations for the cough ,XRAY Chest, blood count,pulmonary function test to rule out allergic component.
