Done Fractional CO2 Resurfacing. Irritation Under The Eye. Spots On Chests. Using Bactroban Under The Eyes. Further Medication?

Hi, I had fractional CO2 resurfacing 5 days ago and the doc was agressive around my eyes. I am 5 days out. The under eye area has been very irritated and oozey especially on the right. The right eye continues to have exudate, which I clean with vinegar soaks but it comes right back. Today I noticed some spots on my chest (which was not lasered.) She has me on Acyclovir, and started Doxy 500 mg bid today. (I am a nurse). She is on vacation and cant see me until tuesday. Wondering if there is anything else I can do. She has me using bacitracin under my eyes, prior to that I was using vasoline.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query,

Your doctor has started you on acyclovir,

This means that you have a herpes infection.

Herpes infection is known to flare during stress.

LASER is also a stressful condition.

In addition to tab acyclovir you can also apply oint acyclovir 5 times a day.

This will help in faster healing.

Let me know you have any other doubt

you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
