Done Novasure Procedure To Control Period Flow. Have Bloating, Lower Back Pain, Fatigue, Headache Before Period. Have Fibroid

Hello, I'm a 45yr old with a tiny fibroid of over 9 years without change in size. However, PMS symptons are extreme just before my period. 2 weeks prior to my period are the following symtoms: extreme bloating, lower back pain, appetite fluctuations, fatigue, headache, and fluctuating moods. A year ago I had the Novasure procedure done to control my period flow. I now only use a panty liner instead of a super plus tampon and overnight pad. I've tried birth control pills, but know that in the long run my fibroid will only increase in size. Good for my PMS symptoms but not the fibroid. So, I.. am looking at a natural approach to my situation. A friend recommended Chasteberry and Red Rasberry tea/supplement. Again, Im 45yrs. with no plan of bearing children. And approaching menapause soon. FYI family history- women in my family commence menapause in early fifties. My mother was 52 when she first started experiencing hot flashes and all the menapause jazz. So did my grandma. Help

Hello ma'am.

In your situation, with pre-menopausal symptons kicking in along with the presence of a fibroid which can potentially get worse and the fact that you have no intentions of conceiving, a hysterectomy could be the best choice.

Well of course you are still young and have a few years to go before you hit menopause, but this could be an early solution instead of waiting for a while and letting the situation worsen. Your doctor can start you on hormonal supplements and rest shall get better. Do consider this or discuss the initiation of hormonal supplements now, which could worsen the fibroid situation.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes
