Does Taking Insulin Lower The Blood Sugar Level?

I have Type ll diabetes and right now my blood glucose read at 420. I had stopped taking the novolog flexpen about 8 months ago because my diabetes was pretty much in control. I still had some left so I just took 15 units of it to see if blood sugar will go down. Did I do the right thing/

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Sir, Please do remember once you are diabetic, You have to continue medication. only then the blood sugar level will be under control.
So, now have Fasting and post prandial blood sugar levels and HbA1c checked.

Then after consulting a diabetologist or writing to us, Get correct dosages of either insulin or Drugs and continue the same.
Please don't neglect.
