Does Pigmentation Around Child's Buttock Area Require Medical Attention?

My two year old son seems have what looks like a skin pigmentation on his bottom and around that area. He is tanned skin as we are all whites his father and i are both dark haired and eye yet out son has fair hair and blues, now this patchy skin on his bottom area, does he need to be seen by a doctor ?!

It would be better if i can see the photo.
Generalized hyperpigmentation can be due to Addison’s disease, nelson syndrome and drug induced e.g. chlorpromazine, phenytoin, phenothiazine. Localized causes include Mongolian spots, café au lait spots, nevus, freckles, peutz Jeghers syndrome, melasma and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
So it would be better to see a dermatologist.
