Feeling Of Having A Sunburn & Painful Pimple On Inner Thigh

Hello, This morning I woke up with the feeling like my inner thigh has sunburn or a painful pimple on it. It is sensitive to light touch and the pain transferred to my whole thigh throughout the day. It is has not gone away at all but when I look there is absolutely nothing on the skin. Do you know what this is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to jock itch. It is a fungal infection that causes a red and itchy rash in warm and moist areas of the body. The rash often affects the groin and inner thighs and may be shaped like a ring. I recommend to use an anti-fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
