Does Painting With Latex Cause Seizures?

My daughter has been on mission trip painting houses with removal of lead paint, & painting with latex & oil base paint. She had seizures when she was 2-4 years old but no meds since no seizures she is 25 & had seizure after week of painting could this have triggered?

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your daughter's symptoms. It is difficult to prove or disprove the connection between her painting and seizures. However, they are most likely not connected.

In my opinion, she should be evaluated for the presence of epilepsy. This would require doing an MRI brain and EEG.

There are good anti epileptic drugs available to prevent seizures in the future.
