Pediatrician 's  Response
hi, milk of magnesia does not cause black stools in child. If there are black stools then chances of intestinal infection, worm infestation, and bleed from anal tear can be there. you should do stool for routine microscopy test to see whether blood is present in stool or not. Depending on the report antibiotic needs to be started. Deworming should also be done. give soft diet to child.Take care.
