Does Hypothyroidism Affect Height In Males?

Does hypothyroidism affect height in males? I have had it since I was 10, but doctors never treated me because they suggested it would go away during puberty. I am 20 now and 5'10"; I'm about to finally go on Synthroid. I just feel that I should have been taller considering my parents' heights. Is it possible to still grow an inch?
