Does Hypothyroid Medication Affect IVF?

I am B12 deficient as per blood test. I am also diagnosed with hypothyroid last year and I am on Thyroxine 50 mcg per day for the last 10 months. I am advised by my Doctor to take Eldervit injection twice a week for three months. Want to know whether Neuromin OD sublingual tablet (Mecobalmin 1500 mcg) will be equally effective as I want to avoid IV infusions.

Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I have read your questions fully and understand your concerns.

Regarding oral Mecobaalmin in place of Injection Mecobalmin, it depends on how low is your B-12level. If it is too low and you are contemplating pregnancy, the sooner the B12 levels are normal, the better for your pregnancy. Injection B12 helps to raise B12 levels quicker than oral tablets. If your B12 is only borderline low, then you could get away with taking oral Mecobalmin tablets.
Hypothyroid tablets do not affect IVF. Itis important to keep your TSH

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you
