Does Eye Pain Caused By Eye Trauma Need Further Investigation?

Hey Doc, 2 days ago now I was on a fire and got a wood chip the size of a bb in my lower eye. We removed it with normal saline and a 4x4 gauze pad. The next day and today my eye hurts to blink and the lower left of the eye is just showing some red veins.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that a wooden piece fell into your eyes which was removed and following it you are having pain in the eye with redness.
This indicates corneal epithelial damage and hence requires treatment under supervision of ophthalmologist.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops and artificial tears.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
