Does Delay In Verorab Dose Cause Risk Of Vaccine Being Ineffective?

hi, my 6 year old child was bitten by a dog. we went to the doctor later on the day, he was given a short of verorab and we had to go back for day 3, 7 and 14. however he got his second dose (for day 3) a day late due to unavailability. i am afraid if this might carry any risk of the vaccine not working properly, kindly advise.

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Proper shedule to be followed as recommended for the antirabies vaccine.
If 3 to 4 days delay is there then it is ok to contnue the shedule but if the doses are delayed are much more that 15 days, then it is better to revise the doeses.
Hope the query is answered,
Thanks
