Hi,

Copper T should be removed once it has expired & replaced with a new IUD. You are suggested to get the IUD replaced without delay since it has crossed the expiry period.

Copper T or any IUD does not work after expiry. Not removing it will increase your chances of getting pregnant & you will also get prone to pelvic infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
