Does HCG Injections Cause Biatrial Enlargement?

Hello, was on HCG injections and was wondering if it could cause Biatrial enlargement. Very successful on HCG. Had echo recently and was diagnosed with severely enlarged atriums. No structural damage to heart. Mom had HD but she was obese and smoked.

HCG injections shouldn't cause biatrial enlargement. This would more likely be due to a congenital problem or an acquired problem related to abnormal blood flow through the heart, such as a valve disorder, although you don't mention this on the echo. I presume you had the echo for some symptoms you were having, so you might want to talk to your doctor about the echo or see a cardiologist if you haven't already to find out more about the atrial enlargement. But I strongly doubt the HCG injections had anything to do with it. Hope this helps.
