Do The Prescribed Medicine Works For Severe Acne?

I have severe acne (blackheads) and was prescribed krimson 35. I have heard that the medicine has a lot of side effects. I just want to get a second opinion on whether it actually works for acne and if the side effects are worth it since I have really important exams coming up in 2 months and can't screw that up

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe acne on face which is very common due to hormonal change. Pimples on the skin occur due to various hormonal imbalances, stress, poor hygiene as it is formed due to clogged facial pores that get infected with bacteria. Krimson 35 as advised to you is an oral contraceptive pill. Its better to be mobile when you are on the tablet as there are chances of thrombotic phenomenon. I would suggest you to apply cream rich in Azelaic acid or Kojic acid and apply twice daily. It will lighten pigmentation on skin. Apply Adapelene gel once at night Use medicated sunscreen such as Tancare rich in SPF 30, it will prevent further skin pigmentation. Apply cotton dipped in tea tree oil to lighten the pigments. You can visit dermatologist once and can go for chemical peeling or micro abrasion if your symptoms keeps on persisting. Take supplements rich in vitamin C.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
