Do The AIN Occur In The Future?

Sir,
In the year 2010, my only children 13 years old suffered suddenly in AIN due to taking Pain Killer & Antibiotic Drugs which was advised by ENT surgeon after that looking in urine test that albumin +++ and RBC +++. In this situation, I visited immediately a Dr.Nephrologist and he tested various reports and suggested only rest and limitation of drinking water but it is cured gradually without any medicines. After one month later,I again visited that Dr. and he said no problem when Albumin was Traced and RBC was 1-3 HPF on 2011 January. Now I tested urine again in July'12,please be informed about macroscopic routine urine test that albumin present and RBC 0-1 HPF but no symptom is present in this case it will be confirmed normal and may also answer that again comes back in future?

Hello,

Your son's doctor must have evaluated him properly. In your case it was acute condition treated with not taking offending agent that is drug. Your son recovered completely it means disease has not caused permanent damage. So this will not recur if your son doesn't take offending agent.

I hope your son's RFTs, blood CP, ABGs, urine Re, USG, KUB all are normal. If you need detailed evaluation you can get his autoimmune profile done to see any association.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rehana Kousar
